1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or playing Kardashev Ascension ("the Game"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Game.

2. Description of Service

Kardashev Ascension is a free-to-play idle/incremental game where players build a cosmic civilization progressing through the Kardashev Scale. The Game includes:

• Free core gameplay with no mandatory purchases
• Optional in-app purchases for virtual currency and items
• Optional rewarded video advertisements for in-game bonuses
• Local save data stored on your device

3. User Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Game. If you are under 18, you represent that your parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms. Parents/guardians are responsible for monitoring their children's use of the Game and any purchases made.

4. User Account and Data

4.1 Game Progress

Your game progress is stored locally on your device. You are responsible for maintaining backups of your device. We are not responsible for lost game progress due to device issues, app uninstallation, or data clearing.

4.2 No User Accounts

The Game does not currently require or support user account creation. Future updates may include optional cloud save functionality.

5. In-App Purchases

5.1 Virtual Items

The Game offers optional in-app purchases for virtual currency ("Dark Matter") and virtual items. These purchases:

• Are entirely optional and not required to enjoy the Game
• Provide no real-world value and cannot be exchanged for real money
• Are non-transferable between devices unless cloud save is enabled
• May be subject to balance changes in future updates

5.2 Subscriptions

The "Cosmic Membership" subscription provides ongoing benefits for a monthly fee. Subscriptions:

• Automatically renew unless cancelled before the renewal date
• Can be managed through Google Play Store settings
• Provide benefits only while the subscription is active

5.3 Refunds

All purchases are processed through Google Play. Refund requests must be submitted through Google Play according to their refund policies. We do not directly process refunds.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

• Modify, hack, or reverse engineer the Game
• Use cheats, exploits, automation software, or any unauthorized third-party tools
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to Game systems or other users' data
• Exploit bugs or glitches - please report them to us instead
• Use the Game for any illegal purpose
• Interfere with other users' enjoyment of the Game

7. Intellectual Property

All content in the Game including but not limited to graphics, music, sound effects, text, and code is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not:

• Copy, modify, or distribute Game content
• Use Game content for commercial purposes
• Create derivative works based on the Game
• Remove or alter any copyright notices

8. Advertisements

The Game displays advertisements through Google AdMob. By using the Game, you acknowledge that:

• Ads are necessary to support free gameplay
• Ad content is provided by third parties and we do not control it
• You can watch optional rewarded ads for in-game bonuses
• Ad personalization can be managed through your device settings

9. Disclaimers

9.1 "As Is" Basis

The Game is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the Game will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

9.2 Game Changes

We reserve the right to:

• Modify, update, or discontinue any Game features
• Adjust game balance, including virtual item values
• Add or remove content at any time
• Terminate access for users who violate these Terms

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Game, including but not limited to:

• Loss of game progress or data
• Inability to access the Game
• Unauthorized access to your data
• Any issues with in-app purchases

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your violation of these Terms or misuse of the Game.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration or in the courts of competent jurisdiction.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Game after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.

14. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
